First Circular
==============

Lattice 2015, the 33rd International Symposium on Lattice Field Theory
will be held at Kobe International Conference Center in the Kobe
Convention Center complex, Kobe, Japan
from Tuesday July 14, 2015 to Saturday July 18, 2015.

Kobe faces the Seto Inland sea of Japan and located very near
the Japan Standard Time meridian, approximately 30 km west of Osaka.
The conference venue is located in the middle of the Kobe Port Island
and can be reached easily using public transportation.

The plenary sessions will be held at the main hall of the Kobe
International Conference Center in the Kobe Convention Center complex.
The parallel sessions and poster session will take place on the fourth
floor in the same building.

The welcome reception will be held on the evening of Monday, July 13,
from 18:30 to 21:00 at Kobe Animal Kingdom (K Computer Mae station),
located two stops away from Kobe Convention Center (Shimin Hiroba station)
by the Portliner.

The scientific program starts in the morning of Tuesday, July 14, 2015,
and ends after the afternoon session on Saturday, July 18.

Important Deadlines
===================

The deadline for financial support applications is April 17, 2015.
The Early Bird Registration deadline is May 15, 2015.
The Abstract Submission deadline is May 29, 2015.
The Regular Registration deadline is June 12, 2015.

Registration and abstract submission will proceed via the conference
web page, and an announcement will be made when these features become
available.
Hotel reservations will be also available via the web page.

Financial Support
=================

An exemption of the conference fee will be available for a limited
number of students.
Applicants should send their application to the following addresses:
   

The subject line of your email should be:
   LATTICE2015 - financial support application.

Student applicants should provide a statement of support by their
supervisor, as well as the title of any presentation they intend to give.
The deadline for the applications is April 17, 2015.

Please note that the available number of the exemption is limited and
not all applications may be successful.

 

Travel Information
==================

Travel information can be found in the conference web page:

The conference venue is located in the middle of the Kobe Port Island.
A convenient transportation to the venue is provided by the Portliner,
which connects between the Sannomiya Station (which is also shared by
the JR line and subway, and is located in the center of Kobe on the Japanese
main land) and the Kobe Airport beyond the other end of the Port Island.
After arriving at the finial destination airport in Japan, participants
should head towards the Sannomiya- or the Kobe Airport- Portliner Station,
and then take the Portliner to the K Computer Mae Station for the welcome
reception or to the Shimin Hiroba Station to get to the conference venue.

 

Visa information
================

Visa information is available on the conference web page:

All visitors to Japan must have a valid passport. Citizens of certain
countries also need a visa to enter Japan. Please check the list of
countries which have the visa exemption agreement with Japan, which is
linked via the web page. If your country is included in the list, you
usually do not need to apply for a visa.

The afternoon of Thursday, July 16 has been allocated for excursions,
and we are currently in the process of organizing a selection of options.
