Related Organizations
The Reserch Organization for Information Science and Technology (RIST)
K computer is generally utilized for selected research projects based on an application process. RIST manages the application process under the Law on Joint Use Promotion of Large-Scale Advanced Research Facilities.

HPCI Consortium
The HPCI, which stands for High Performance Computing Infrastructure, is a network constructed by connecting the flagship K computer with other major supercomputers in Japan via high speed networks. The HPCI Consortium carries out studies regarding the application and selection process as well as usage fees related to the HPCI’s shared computational resources provided by K computer and other domestic information and computing centers in Japan.
