RIKEN AICS Flagship 2020 Project

The FLAGSHIP 2020 Project is carrying out research and development for future supercomputing. Its initial task is the development of the supercomputer to succeed the K computer, with the goal of launching operations around 2020. It is taking on a number of challenges from four aspects—system software, architecture, applications, and co-design—with the aim to create a system that can properly respond to the future needs of science and technology.
